Hydras is excited to announce our coaching staff for the 2026-2027 year.

Charles Kerr (he/him) has been coaching ultimate for over 35 years and is an Ultimate Hall of Fame inductee. He established the Callahan Award - the most prestigious award given to Ultimate players. He also co-wrote the Callahan Rules which changed the game of ultimate into what we know and love today. Hydras is fortunate to have Charles as a dedicated, enthusiastic coach.

Alli Reilly (she/her) started playing frisbee when she was captain of UNC Pleiades for two years, competed with Raleigh Radiance and Raleigh Phoenix, and played with teams in Australia, Greece, Jordan, and New Zealand. Hydras is excited to see the energy she brings to our teams this year.

Ethan Baughman (he/him) currently plays for the Carolina Flyers and Raleigh Durham United. He has competed and coached at a nationals level of competition. Outside of frisbee, he is a mental health therapist and collage artist. He is super excited to bring his ultimate experience and psychology background to Hydras and we are thrilled to have him!

Ellie Murphy (she/her) is a rising sophomore at UNC Chapel Hill. She plays for UNC’s D1 womxn’s division ultimate frisbee team, Pleiades, and has grown up playing a variety of sports her whole life. Ellie also coached youth soccer. We are looking forward to her joining the Hydras team.
